The Consumer Electronics Show debuted in New York City in 1967 as a spinoff of the Chicago Music Show. More than half a century later, this highly anticipated annual event is known to most fans and insiders simply as “CES,” and while the focus remains primarily on consumer-facing technologies, the scope has grown to cover the latest developments in B2B tech products and services as well.
From January 7 to January 10, 2025, buyers, builders and enthusiasts will gather in Las Vegas to demonstrate, explore and discuss the latest and most impactful developments in business and consumer technology. Below, 20 members of Forbes Technology Council share their predictions about the highlights and trends that will dominate conversations and headlines focused on CES 2025.
1. Computer Chips Optimized For AI
New computer chips that can process artificial intelligence models faster than ever will make a big splash. AI offers great benefits, but it can be computationally expensive. Dedicated chips that are optimized for AI will lower the power and processing requirements for hardware with integrated AI.
